Insomnia

Another sleepless night…

You’ve had an awful night – difficulty getting to sleep, difficulty staying asleep.

You are irritable day after day with fretting thoughts of worry about sleep.

You’ve struggled for a long time.

Taking sleeping pills seems like the only way, but you don’t like how you feel in the morning, and you don’t enjoy taking them all the time.

There is hope for insomnia.

Insomnia is a pervasive problem that can lead to irritability, worry, dread, and loneliness.

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy – Insomnia, CBT-I, was specifically designed to treat the underlying cause of chronic insomnia – a preoccupation with insomnia and its effect on daytime functioning.

CBT-I is the preferred treatment for insomnia, and both the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the American College of Physicians endorse it.

With CBT-I, clients become normal sleepers, get to sleep easier, and maintain sleep throughout the night without medication.

Here’s the treatment process…

CBT-I is a structured program comprising an initial assessment and five sessions over six weeks. In each 30- to 50-minute session, we introduce a different behavioral technique.

You will learn how to implement these tested techniques so that you can become a normal sleeper. CBT-I also includes a gradual tapering of prescription sleep aids. NO COLD TURKEY.

There’s no more worrying about how you will make it through the day or clock-watching in the middle of the night.

Call or email us today to schedule your initial assessment.
